Contributing a poster

If you're interested in donating a poster to the project, please consider the following guidelines:

  • Posters should be specific to Southern California or the wildfires in the region.
  • Minimum size is 11" x 17". (Ideal size: 18" x 24".) Poster can be produced by litho, digital or silk-screen print.
  • The posters should be signed and numbered editions in quantities of 25 to 100. The posters should not be one-offs.
  • Artists will be responsible for designing, printing, and delivering the posters to So-Cal Fire Poster Project. Although we would like to print them, we don't have the resources to coordinate all of the printing ourselves.
  • Posters may include credits for vendors who have donated supplies or services, but please keep them small and unobtrusive.
  • All submissions will become property of So-Cal Fire Poster Project, and will be sold to raise funds for the Salvation Army 2007 California Wildfire fund.
  • Artists may determine the selling price of their posters, but So-Cal Fire Poster Project reserves the right to change prices based on availability and demand.

When you've finished your design, please email a PDF or JPEG of finished poster for the site. (At least 380px x 480px, please.) Please also include the title of the poster, your name (as you'd like it to appear) and a short paragraph about you and your poster.

Pricing

Poster prices directly correspond to remaining quantities. As the posters sell they will go up in price. We encourage you to buy now, or risk paying more for the poster you like later.

Generally, poster pricing follows this formula:

  • 51+ posters: $35
  • 16-50 posters remaining: $70
  • 11-15 posters remaining: $110
  • 5-10 posters remaining: $160
  • 2-4 posters remaining: $200
  • 1 poster remaining: $500

Artists may determine the selling price of their posters, but So-Cal Fire Poster Project reserves the right to change prices based on availability and demand.

Shipping

Most posters ship within two days of the order. Depending on how close you are to San Diego, shipping times can range from one to two weeks. If you don't see your poster after two weeks, , and we'll track it for you. We apologize for any delays, but this is a charity staffed by volunteers, after all.
